PABLO CONTRISCIANI was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His parents immigrated from Italy in the first half of the 20 century. After he received his MFA and doing several exhibitions in Argentina, he moved first to Europe in 1993. He arrived to USA in 1994, living in New York City the first three years, and from 1997 in Miami. Florida.

EDUCATION

MFA. Painting specialization, with profesorial license, National University of La Plata (UNLP), Buenos Aires, Argentina, studying under professors Anibal Carreno and Raul Moneta.

Studied privately with the Artists Domingo Falcon Lima, Aurelio Machi, and Luis Felipe Noe.

1987. Designated Professor's Assistant of Painting in the Department of Fine Arts, UNLP, Buenos Aires, Argentina, accepting this position for five years.

1989: Received professorial License in Fine Arts.

1990: Received Master's in Fine Arts with concentration in Painting. The Master's Thesis was presented in the form of an individual exhibition in the Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes de La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

1991: Received scholarship award in Fine Arts, Painting Section, through competition on a National level awarded by the Fondo Nacional del las Artes.

1991-92: Worked as Professor of Painting in the Escuela Municipal de Arte de La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

1993: Study-Oriented travel throughout Europe and North Africa, with extended stays in Roma, Italy,. and Madrid, Spain.

1994-96: Lived and -worked in New York City.

1997: Moved to Miami, and accepted as a Resident Artist in the Art Center South Florida.
