I wanted to introduce you to some pieces I made recently. They belong to a series of artworks I created some years ago, which I call the Accumulation series
They are very rich in texture and color. I used mixed media techniques in several layers and accumulation using different materials to provoke optical effects and create a tactile experience.
These artworks can be perceived as reliefs or as paintings. They are related to the sculptures of John Chamberlain. The point in this body of work is not that painting and sculpture are intimately linked, but that painting and sculpture exist only in relationship to the viewer.
I explore the unity in the diversity of elements used in these compositions. These pieces don’t have a real space, and there is no central focus. Each part of the same work of art is strong enough and different from the rest , and at the same time, all together make one piece!
If you are interested in some of these pieces or you need to know more info about them, please contact me. My contact info is below
Thanks.
